Dr. Susan Sherrick was inspired to become an orthodontist after receiving treatment and seeing her amazing results.
Dr. Sherrick received her bachelor’s degree and completed the six-year dental program at the University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry. Dr. Sherrick graduated with honors in the top ten percent of her dental class, earning her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1995. During her dental education, she was inducted into the honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi and Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Upon graduating, Dr. Sherrick was accepted into St. Louis University’s Graduate Orthodontic Program, where she earned a Master of Science in Dentistry degree, specializing in orthodontics.
In addition to her formal education, Dr. Sherrick completed training with the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics which allows her to administer dermal fillers.

Dr. Sherrick feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of orthodontics in order to offer her patients the most advanced treatments. Thus, she maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technologies. Dr. Sherrick is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Central Dental Society and the Ozark Dental Society.
Dr. Sherrick serves as an orthodontic assistant trainer for the Missouri Dental Association in the Expanded Functions Dental Assistants course. She also personally trains each member of her staff at Sherrick Orthodontics.
Dr. Sherrick is happily married to her husband, Randy Benson. They have two boys, Zach and Troy. As a family, they enjoy travelling to new places and being outside enjoying nature – especially if it is warm and involves water and swimming. In her spare time, Dr. Sherrick also enjoys teaching fitness classes, as she is a fitness instructor who is certified by the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America!
