Originally from Decatur, Alabama, Dr. Samuel L. Harris is a board-certified orthodontist who brings both clinical excellence and a warm, personable approach to his practice. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Oakwood University and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry.
After college, Dr. Harris obtained a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Walden University. While at Meharry, he also completed a Master in Health Science, further deepening his understanding of the healthcare landscape. He then pursued his orthodontic residency at Howard University, followed by a fellowship in craniofacial and special needs orthodontics at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Dr. Harris is a proud member of the American Dental Association and is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. He chose a career in dentistry to combine his love for problem-solving, creativity, and connecting with people—believing that every smile he helps create is a reflection of both art and science.
Known for his gregarious nature and genuine care for others, Dr. Harris finds the most joy in helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their orthodontic journey. “It’s rewarding to be part of someone’s transformation—not just their smile, but their confidence and overall health,” he shares.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Harris enjoys scenic drives, video games, and building models. He also has a passion for cooking and often experiments with vegetarian recipes in his spare time. His creative interests reflect the thoughtful and detail-oriented approach he brings to his work in orthodontics.
